Practical driving tests are not held in dangerous weather conditions, i.e. when the roads are icy.
Bad weather and your driving test or lessons
Call your driving instructor, they will contact the Test Centre for you, if there’s snow or ice in your local area on the day of your test.
For our customers please call your Instructor and they will let you know what’s happening.
If a test can’t go ahead
If a test can’t go ahead because of bad weather, a new appointment date will usually be sent within 3 working days. This could take up to 7 days when the bad weather goes on for longer. You won’t have to pay the test fee again.
You won’t be able to claim for any out-of-pocket expenses when tests are cancelled because of bad weather.
Theory tests are only usually affected by very severe weather. If a theory test is cancelled because of bad weather, it will be re-booked automatically at no further cost.
